Benefits of the Scrip Program
Scrip is an on-going, year-round method of assisting our members in meeting tuition costs at Stars & Stripes Gymnastics. Credits gained through Scrip can also be used toward meet fees, uniforms, and purchases at our boutique. What is Scrip?
Scrip is essentially certificate purchases. Through Scrip, you are able to purchase certificates from Stars & Stripes for use toward dozens of different retailers. Each retailer will credit a certain percentage of the certificate purchase toward your Stars & Stripes account. For example, if you purchase $100.00 worth of Sharper Image certificates, Sharper Image has agreed to contribute 13% toward your Stars & Stripes account. With this single purchase, you will have $13.00 credited toward tuition or fees. While making purchases that you would normally make anyway, you can easily help alleviate costs associated with the sport. What is the cost of Scrip?
There are no fees or percentages for the member whatsoever, and it costs you nothing extra to participate. It is simply a benefit of Stars & Stripes members, and is designed to assist you in meeting costs. Once you become a Stars & Stripes member you will automatically be given a Scrip account, whether you choose to use it or not. While you are not at all required to participate and make certificate purchases, you may wish to take advantage of this valuable program. What can I buy with Scrip?
There are no restrictions with what you can buy with Scrip. Scrip certificates are purchased through us with the retailer, and you may purchase anything the retailer sells. Scrip is the same as cash in the eyes of the retailer, and anything sold in the store is eligible for purchase, whether or not the item is "on sale." Scrip certificates make great gifts, and work like any other "gift certificate." Especially during the Holiday Season (when the budget is a little tighter), Scrip is a great way to meet those gift "necessities" while at the same time giving yourself a break on tuition and other gymnastics costs. How do I order Scrip certificates?
Order forms for Scrip certificates are made available at the Office, or you may download them here on our website. The order forms may be submitted during Office hours. Certificates from multiple retailers can be ordered on the same form. All order forms must be filled out completely and accompanied by your check or cash (sorry, no phone or fax orders accepted). Certificates will be available for pick-up at the Office between Wednesday and Friday the week following submission. Saturday orders must be placed by 11:30AM, or they will be processed the following week (and made available for pick-up the week after processing). Scrip Retailers
